The Sexy Chocolate Story

Everyone always wants to know how we came up with the name "sexy chocolate". I usually give them the abbreviated version, but since you’re visiting our site, I'll break it down for ya!

I never dreamed of creating a clothing line ...never! I didn't go to school for fashion design nor have I worked at a fashion house. So you’re like, how did I fall into this business?? Well, back in 2002, I had the opportunity to co-host the "Roc Radio" show on XM Satellite Radio with Damon Dash and Kareem "Biggs" Burke. Damon was notorious for giving everyone on the show a nickname....ya guessed it, my nickname was "sexy chocolate".  I loved it..it made me feel so special.
 
I believe that everything happens for a reason, but sometimes you have to wait for the message to come through loud and clear. One night after the Roc Radio show, I was driving around NY with one of my best friends Dana, and we had been talking about how cool it would be to do a line of tee's with cool phrases on them....That's when it hit me, put "sexy chocolate" on a tee and give everyone that special feeling that I got every time I was on the show!
 
That's how sexy chocolate was born. We have grown to include a complete line that has something for everyone. You don't have to be "chocolate" to enjoy this line...it's just a state of mind. I hope you purchase a piece of sexy chocolate for yourself, a friend or tell your mate to pick out something for you!! Even if you decide it's not for you, don't be selfish, pass the website along to someone that will love it....
